Crazy For You - Chichester Festival Theatre
Date: July 2022
Well that was fun!
Renowned for their dazzling summer productions, the Festival Theatre delivered again. 'Magnificent', 'Irresistible', 'Miraculous', said the critics - and indeed it was. Charlie Stemp as Bobby Childs was at the top of his game, with exquisite dancing and a fine comic turn. With extravagant costumes, big dance numbers, stunning tap routines and glorious Gershwin melodies, this really was a night to remember. Great food at the Brasserie too!

To Kill a Mockingbird - Gielgud Theatre
Date: June 2022
Based on Harper Lee's modern literary classic, this landmark adaptation from Aaron Sorkin was a sell out in the West End as it had been on Broadway. With an outstanding performance from Rafe Spall as Atticus Finch, this harrowing tale of racism and injustice was a sharp reminder of the vile prejudices of the recent past.
Compelling and thought provoking.

My Fair Lady - London Coliseum
Date: May 2022
The first major West End revival of Lerner & Loewe’s much-loved musical for 21 years proved to be a tremendous success. This sublime production featured the English National Opera orchestra playing the ravishing score, with classic songs including I Could Have Danced All Night, Get Me to the Church on Time, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.
A wonderful production - one to remember.

Cinderella - Gillian Lynne Theatre
Date: December 2021
The latest extravaganza from the master of musicals, Andrew Lloyd-Webber!
The show was billed as 'a modern take on the traditional tale of Cinderella' - and very 21st century it was! But still the glass slipper put in an appearance, the wicked stepmother got her come-uppance, and true love prevailed - perfect!
Witty, colourful, joyful, and packed with great tunes - a thrilling experience.

The Beauty of Ballet - Royal Albert Hall
Date: November 2021
And very beautiful it was. An evening of spellbinding music and ballet, featuring The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and dancers from the renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet, giving us a dazzling celebration of some of the greatest Russian works of Romanticism ever written.
The music was sublime, and the dancers gave breathtaking performances of strength and grace. All topped off with an 1812 Overture firework finale!

Anything Goes - Barbican Theatre
Date: September 2021
It’s Bon Voyage on the SS American but it’s not all smooth sailing as they
head out to sea; etiquette is cast-off through the portholes as two unlikely
pairs set off on the course to find true love.

Starring Sutton Foster, Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal and Gary Wilmot, the reviews for this production were outstanding - and we were not disappointed! A slick, funny and thrilling show from consummate professionals.

August Jamboree
Date: August 2021

Something for everyone! We took a lovely day time excursion to the south coast, starting with a visit to an unassuming church which features the only known reproduction of Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Followed by lunch at the Highdown restaurant, with a walk afterwards in Highdown Gardens - a unique and lovingly maintained chalk garden. All finished with a walk on Worthing pier and an ice-cream.

South Pacific - Chichester Festival Theatre
Date: July 2021

1943. On an archipelago in the South Pacific ocean, US troops are kicking their heels amid the cacao groves while restlessly waiting for the war to reach them... before long, love and fear become entwined.
A superb production by the Chichester Festival Theatre. A much-loved musical classic - exactly the sort of thing that Chichester does so well. Lots to enjoy - not least the delicious pre-theatre dinner at The Brasserie restaurant!

Come From Away - Phoenix Theatre
Date: May 2019

The remarkable true story of a small town that welcomed the world.

What would you do if 7,000 strangers landed at your door...? This joyous
musical shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada in the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives. Funny, poignant, uplifting.

Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake - Sadlers Wells
Date: May 2019

When it premiered in 1995, Matthew Bourne’s bold re-interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake turned tradition upside down and took the dance world by storm.

Audacious, witty and emotional, this powerful rendering of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece was as breathtaking and beautiful as ever. Truly memorable.

42nd Street - Phoenix Theatre
Date: April 2018

Who would have thought glitz, glamour and a hundred tap dancers could be so thrilling?

With the iconic songs ‘42nd Street’, ‘We’re in the Money’, ‘Lullaby of Broadway’, ‘Shuffle Off to Buffalo’, ‘Dames’, and ‘I Only Have Eyes for You’, and starring Lulu as Dorothy Brock, this show put huge smiles on all our faces! Great fun.
