Day trip - Battersea Power Station
To include visit to the Ramses exhibition and view from the Chimney Lift
To arrive c11.00am and depart c4.00pm

We've driven past it so often - now it's time to explore!
Our day begins with a visit to the ‘Ramses and the Pharaohs’ Gold’ exhibition - a stunning collection of over 180 Egyptian masterpieces on loan from the Supreme Council of Antiquities. The collection includes the coffin of Ramses II, a work of inestimable value. Discover gold masks and silver coffins from the royal tombs of Tanis, beautifully preserved animal mummies and amulets and dazzling jewellery alongside colossal sculptures, carvings and stone heads.
After enjoying the exhibition, your time is your own to browse the extensive range of boutique, designer and other shops and to get some lunch in one of the huge number of eateries, perhaps on the river.
We’ll then head for the Chimney Lift. We’ll likely break into two groups - one group to arrive at the Lift at 2.30pm, another group at 2.45pm. Before going up in the Lift, there is an exhibition to browse, where you can learn about the Power Station’s rich heritage, architecture and technology. Then continue onwards and upwards, as the Lift makes its exhilarating ascent to a view point 109 metres above ground, offering magnificent 360 degree views across London.
We'll depart the Power Station at around 4.00pm. A fascinating and eye-opening day out!
