To Kill a Mockingbird
Gielgud Theatre
Start time: 7.30pm

After generating huge critical acclaim on Broadway, Aaron Sorkin’s landmark adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird comes to the West End, starring Rafe Spall. This classic tale of racism and injustice, as timely as it is timeless, is brought vividly to life at the Gielgud Theatre.
Based on Harper Lee’s best-selling novel, To Kill a Mockingbird is set in the mid-century American South and based on Lee’s own childhood in Alabama. Told through the eyes of Scout Finch, the story follows her father Atticus Finch, whose career as a lawyer sees him defending a black man accused of rape against a white woman.
The character of Atticus Finch remains one of literature’s towering symbols of integrity and righteousness, while the character of Scout, based on Lee herself, has come to define youthful innocence - and its inevitable loss - for generation after generation of readers around the world.

The Broadway production shattered box office records, becoming the highest-grossing American play in history, and the West End production is sure to follow suit.
